Hmmmm...well you have just a little less than 11 times as many files and assuming everything is equal that would equate my 8-10 second open time to 88-110 seconds (1.5-2 minutes) for you, the bottom of the timeline you offered. So perhaps the 2 minute opening time is optimum and the longer waits are because off VSS or network bottlenecks/collisions or a combination of these. Either way, it sounds as if M$ needs to optimize the interface between VFP and VSS.
