Maybe I misunderstood your statement. I apologize if I misconstrued what you originally said.

The original question as I understood it was effectively "I can't render my VFP reports in HTML- will XML/XSL allow me to do this"?

Your answer was (as I understood it): XML/XSL is very powerful and will allow you to do this.

I only wanted to interject that that answer might be misleading because it leads the asker to believe that the new technologies take steps to overcome the underlying problem behind the difficulty in rendering VFP reports in HTML. In my opinion, they XML/XSL don't even approach the subject.

The results of a VFP report don't live anywhere after the fact except possibly a printer specific codes file that will do little in the way of helping to translate into HTML.

I have a feeling we are only arguing semantics, and that neither one knows any more than the other about the subject in question- maybe just that we are having trouble being clear.


BTW, just out of curiosity, what are you doing with XML?
