The 'desert storm' application is actually called JFAST, and was again demo'd at DevCon just last week. Really slick and has stuff that will just blow you away to see being done with VFP. You could also look up the old Surplus Direct info, which was at one time the largest web site (# of hits/day) running under VFP with West-Wind add-ons from Rick Strahl for web support.

FWIW: I also am senior FP developer at Wells Fargo Auto Finance, and we have some 1.5 Million record tables that are being supported using FP-2.6/DOS! Now migrating it all into VFP-6...
