I consistently generate a Windows invalid page fault by attempting to create a user defined method in the DataEnvironment of a Report.
Version 6.0 SP3 (version no. 06.00.8492.00)
Windows 98
Here's how I do it.
(1) Fire up the Report Designer by creating
a new report under the FILE menu
(2) Use the View menu to open up the DE
(3) Right click on the DE design window and
select the 'Code...' option ... this causes the 'FORM' menu header
to appear on the main menu.
(4) On the form menu select New Method
(5) In the Add Method dialog box type in a name and hit OK.
.Boom. ... page fault.
Has anyone else noticed this?
I don't even know if it is possible to add a user defined method to a report or its DE, but even if that isn't supported by VFP, it sure the hell shouldn't cause a page fault!!!
I tried rebooting my computer once to see if there was some memory configuration problem, but the problem remained.
What gives?
