Do it on your local machine... Actually, I would recommend installing the NT Option Pack 4.0 on your local machine (it installs on 95/98 also), so you have IIS (called PWS on NT Workstation/95/98) on it for development.

But, basically, if you don't want to run the server software on your local machine, you can set up your web server with wc.dll in a virtual directory. Then on your workstation map a drive to the web servers so you can point your WC application to the Temp directory that you specified in WC.INI, with wcmain.ini.

This setup will allow your web server to run on one machine (server) and your wc app to run on another (your workstation)... as long as their PATH settings in the ini files are refering to the same physical path it should work. Well, this is file based, which is what you want to use while testing anyway, so you can debug.
