You can exclude a file from the build of an application/exe - then you just send the actual file (report/program). If you include it in your application, why not just run some sort of a process up front to strip out the info in the memo fields before your exe is compiled.
We maintain a distribution area for our files that contains tested programs, reports, class libs, etc. Then any executable can be built off that set of files. When we complete programming/testing a report, we install it in that directory using a small maintenance program that removes the information from the memo fields.
