>Not so my javascript fearing friend! Your pages open with no control over content. The window has a menu, buttons, etc. apparently inheriting from the initial page. Using the javascript allows you to pass multiple parameters to control the new window for such things as toolbars, scrollbars, captions, etc. The photos Erik Moore uploaded were large jpegs that needed scrollbars so I just added scrollbars=yes to the javascript and there they were. Target="out" is "half stepping!" Go ahead, javascripting won't kill you, remember "Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated!"
ROFLMAO!!! But resistance is so much more fun.... < duck >
So I'm a half stepper... fits well with being half baked don't you think?
So yes John, your java script is way cleaner & if this was a professional site (as opposed to a just-4-fun site) I would definitely be beating on the java script deal to get mine as good as yours :)
FWIW - I got my message board working (well except for needing to overwrite/delete a few of my older test messages...). Give me a few days & I might just get inspired to take on your java challenge.
