CONFIG.FPW is an optional file that you create to set certain default behaviors. I find for my purposes, the defaults from not having one, while generally safe, aren't what I want, so I always create one for my apps (lets you do things like not hgave the VFP main window start, or use FOXUSER resource files) and a different one for development that sets up the develoipment environment I want on my machine.
