>>>Hello All,
>>>can anyone outline the steps to add a VFP project to VSS, I can't seem to get it right, here's what I've done so far ;
>>>
>>>1) Created a VFP project on my local server \\myserve\mydir\test.pjx.
>>>2) Added the project to source control ( through VFP ).
>>>3) Set the working folder ( in VSS ) to c:\mydir.
>>>3) Checked the project out from VSS.
>>>4) Opened the project in VFP ( c:\mydir ).
>>>
>>>Problem.
>>>
>>>1) The files aren't marked as under source control.
>>>
>>>If I open the project from the server ( \\myserve\mydir\test.pjx ) the files are marked for source control ok, but obviously this is defeating the object. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
>>>
>>>Thanks a lot

>>In tools|options projects tab, specify your source control (VSS) provider. Then, whenever you create a project, it will automatically link to VSS.

The files in your working directory will stay there so you have that copy. Also you can set up a shadow directory. Whenever you check in a file it will also be copied to the shadow directory. Files in the shadow directory are stored in their native format and not in a VSS database.
