The problem is you need to add an additional registry entry under HKEY_LOCAL_MANCINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W3SVC\Parameters\ADCLaunch section so that the web server will invoke it. Give the key the name of your component i.e, 'comserver.mycomserver' and put in the program id of your com server as the key value.

I found this in a book on ADO. It worked.
