>We allow users to enter a date field in a grid. We want to display 2 digit year, but store 4 digit year in table. DateFormat property was set to short date but this did not change the display at all -- still shows 4 digit year. Any ideas?

I belive you can set the textbox to use the windows data format... but, set century off should get you there too.

Dates are always stored as 8 chraacters. Make sure, if they are entering 2 digit years you know if you want a 19 or 20 for the century. Also, with set century on you can still show 4 dates but the user can enter two... Look at set century ... rollover...
