thanks for responding. You know I've tried everything I can think of without success. Your suggestion sounded good and I would still like to think I can get it to work. But, in order to create a new vfp connection called Foxpro, I had to delete the unsupported system DSN, Foxpro. Now I don't have Foxpro in the list of file types in Word. Note that I was able to create a Paradox connection, (not that I need it) just for a test. Could you tell me what version of the vfp driver you are using.
