We have recently installed Windows NT Service Pack 5 on one of our workstations -- runs fine -- except: applications load verrrrrrry slowwwwwwwly. What took just a couple of seconds now takes 1/2 minute and more complicated applications that start 2 or 3 other applications take up to a minute when they used to take 12 seconds. I know -- not enough info, what's the app, etc. etc. If you really have any experience with SP 5 you'll know it doesn't matter. NOTE It does seem that the Office 2000 applications load just as fast as their counterparts did before service pack 5, which leads me to think there must be a new API call ( LoadMeAsFastAsYouCanAndLoadAllOthersSlowerSoILookBetter() )??? Seriously, this is a problem.
