Thanks all for the tips, sorry I did not respond earlier.
I found the problem that with the edit box if I did not have the height tall enough to display the scroll bar, it would do an enter to tab. No, I did not have any code in the keypress event (though I tried putting some in to get this to work).
I only had the height of the box tall enough to display 2 lines.
