I don't believe there is a way to change the dot...

However, one way to do it would be to make your own class. Using a custom container, add a "button" (or whatever image you want) and add a label. Next using another custom container drop as many of these "objects" into this container that you want.

Obviously, you make this as simple or as complex as you want. You can now write code to make your custom "option group" container act however you want.
