I've been doing some experimenting with XML using the DataIsland and the XML DSO. Once you have modified XML data on the client how do you get it back to your COM object on the server?

I'm looking at various data access technologies like XML and RDS to determine what works best with VFP. I like what I've seen with RDS, marshalling ADO RS's back and forth seems like a good idea, but going from RS to cursors and back can be problematic. VFP seems like a natural for converting cursors to XML and back, but how efficiently can XML data be moved around? Does XML as a transport mechanism make more sense than an ADO RS in the context of RDS?
