ROFL ---
Back in the DOS 2.1 days, we used to write PC-BASIC programs that would emulate startup screens, et al and put 'em in the AUTOEXEC. When the user would boot up, they wouldn't know they were in a BASIC program and when they would type DOS commands, the program would insult them. Lotsa laughs.
Also, before viruses were all too common, there were utilities to modify COMMAND.COM status and error messages. For example, you could change "Invalid command" to "You jerk, you mispelled it!"
>Enter this in the Command Window on a co-worker's PC:
>
>ON SHUTDOWN *
>
>Then clear the command window.
>
>Lots of laughs!
