Just an observation from the VFP development environment that may shed some light on the lack of refreshing your form. From the command window, edit a method / event procedure in a form -- using CTRL+E then F find a string, return to the code window, key CTRL+E, and observe that the insertion point is in the 'Look for:' textbox, but also observe the background color of the caption bar in the Find window -- if it is like my system, the background color will appear disabled. What does this have to do with your problem? Simply this, even clicking on the Find window does not cause background color of the caption of the Find to be selected; however, clicking in the Command window, then clicking in the Find window always makes the caption background color of the Find window look selected. ( I have observed this lack of complete Windows behavior for some time and have a couple 'dummy' forms that are off-screen simply to switch focus to resolve such problems ). IMHO someone has proliferated this incomplete refresh into more than one place in the VFP / Windows OS interface. Maybe this will help?
