Its funny to see you post, Nigel! It was your file that I wanted. (The dragdrop example :-)

Like I said originally, I understand what it is to have a phone bill that you can't make. It kinda forces you to think of ways to raise the percentage of paid members. The other way to do it, is to try to find more members to join, but that often has costs associated with it, like from advertising and so forth.

I was lucky. I was able to give memberships to people I felt were helping my online community. (Anyone that uploaded files that were downloaded a total of 100 times were automatically given a full membership) But my BBS was just a hobby, not a way of supporting myself.

At any rate, the telling point is that if there was a book that would help me as much as the UT does, I would buy the book. So, I joined.

I would hate to see people stop uploading files here. Maybe there's a way to talk Michael into changing the restriction (which I reccomend!) Maybe a better restriction would be that only PUTM's could download new files? And BUTM's have to wait for a month?

Whatever. This is a great place, and we really need to weather this storm.

>>Simple answer. Stop posting files here. I will until this restriction is lifted. I don't buy the bandwidth argument since this is a paid site.

>I just sent a new file up here and in the same mailing process, received a handful of emails (one from yourself). I heartily agree with you. I have a number of files here and ALL of them have surpassed the *limit*. I have received some personal emails thanking me for writing the utilities. That's what it is all about, for helping the FoxPro community, not holding it back!!
