I can't give you a conclusive answer, only that we are frustrated enough with M$ and their monopoly strategies that we are strongly considering Linux. We are going to set up a "play" server and feel it out for the next few months, deciding for ourselves what the investment will be in time and what the return looks like. Probably try out a few toy projects, small things that we are already very comfortable with to see how it plays out.
