Hi Isaac:

We have alsmost exactly the scenario you have. Our VFP-6 app uses FP26-DOS tables, and unless you set CPDIALOG = OFF, we get the dialog as you have seen whenever the table is opened exclusively. For shared use its fine.

To duplicate the problem, just create your test table using FP-DOS or Clipper or probably even dBASE. Any DOS-based program that can create a DBF should end up with no code-page attached. FP-Windows will attach the codepage, so that's probably why you are having a hard time duplicating the problem.
