Receipt printers that meet industry standards use an ActiveX control to send data to the printer. I downloaded this free control from the Epson POS website. You should find out if the manufacturer of your receipt printers has a control you can use.

I, too, tried to control our receipt printers strictly with VFP and various printer drivers and fonts. Nothing was acceptable until I used the control. I spent about 2 days total completing this part of the app including developing a subclass for the control.
