I have VFP 6 and ran the cpzero program with no parameters. It prompted for a table and I selected one. I then turned CPDIALOG ON, then opened the table. It asked for a Code Page. Is this what you wanted?

You should be able to turn CPDIALOG OFF for the users, though, and they will never have to see it.
