SInce it doesn't run Win32 apps, that's true, however, you can do some development on Unix platforms that's DCOM-compliant (not in VFP, obviously, and I'm not certain if you can write an app that runs native under Unix making its services available as a DCOM server, or if you can write apps under ?nix that access COM components remotely run on Win32 platforms - I'd guess the second to be more likely.) - check Microsoft's site about what the extent of DCOM support for the ?nix environment is
