Walter,

The Chairman of Corel is on record (saw him say with my own eyes/ears) that he cannot be totally against "piracy" (and he did that little both hands two fingers twitch as he said "piracy" to visually put quotes around that word) because:

1) it is a form of advertising for his product;
2) he'd rather have his product in use than some other brand;
3) most importantly, he'll almost certainly get them as a legitimate customer on the next or subsequent upgrade.

All that said, though, I must admit that I have licenses for ALL stuff on both my machines for the very simple reason that I might some day be selling a product and I wouldn't want someone doing 'piracy' on mine so I had better not do it to others. The law (felony and all that) hardly worries me because I'm sure that statements like the one cited could be used to put doubt in any jury's mind.

Cheers,

Jim N
