I want to perform a Data Transformation from one flat file into another with a slightly different structure. I also need to count the records and put the counter value into a SQL table.

Do I HAVE to use a DDQ or can I use a simple transformation?

Either way, how can I map to a flat file that has a different number of columns than the source?

Thanks, Bob
