This is from Microsofts End User License Agreement of VS, and I think it is the same with Office and most of their workstation software.
You may install copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT on an unlimited number of computers provided that you are the only individual using the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.
This also extends to a user that is provided a license by a company... although if you leave said company you may not use it any more.
