Can anyone give tell me what is happening in this case.

History :
We have a FoxPro 6.0 front end of SQl 7.0

We modless forms.

we go into one form and access a child table to see if the code entered by the user on this form is found in the child table.

If it is not found we display a message.

The user may proceed to the form that cause the not found and add the code required.

The user then makes the first window active and them types the code in that caused the fault the fisrt time. The code doesn't show up.

The only way the code shows up is if we exit the form and come back in.

We are doing a select statement on the table. I am making the assumption that the sql statement picks the info from the server database and returns the information. As the above shows this may not be true.

Can anyone help????

TIA
Shawn
