That is what I had to do [my own login form]. I do not keep the password. What I did was to create a dummy remote view at login using the user's ID and password initially. I then open the remote view and it stays open the entire VFP session. Since I use a shared connection, all my other views and SQLExec() pass thru use the connection. This way I never have need for the ID or password during the entire session.
