The only problem is that OKL's are intercommand interrupts, that is they will interrupt code that is running and call out of that code. That means your save process could be fired during a data validation operation or something like that.

You can use menu shortcuts from within a modal form. Keep in mind that the menu that defineds the short cut does not have to be visible. You can define the popup, and its prompts with the shortcuts and the ON SELECTION commands and then just never activate the menu. If you define the menu from inside of a modal form it will be accessable from that form.
