You are wrong, as usual whenever you start discussing things outside of the minutae of API and C++ stuff.

I have the right to use whatever I want whenever I want. The burden is on the software publisher to make software so compelling to own that I want to pay for it *after* I've used it.

And if I need it for a single use, why buy it at all? Get a copy from a friend, install it, use it, delete it. Well, sometimes delete it. Why go through the hassle of paying for it when I will not get maximum use out of it?
