Hello,

Our division has an Unix box which is our intranet server.

Recently, we tried to place several self-extracting .exe files so our users may download to their local hard drives (great way to distribute large documents without printing).

Our problem is when you click on the download link, our browsers (Netscape 3.0) actually 'reads' the .exe and you get a bunch of wierd symbols.

I think there must be something in the configuration of the Unix box that is not handling the download properly.

I'm new to the 'webmaster' scene and, as I did not actually install the Unix system, I have no idea of where to look!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
