Jason,
If you send the keyboard command Control+End to Excel, the rightmost cell in the last row with data will be the actice cell. I am not sure how to get action in a program. I will try it out when I get home. I do not have MOM(Microsoft Object Model) with me.
Let me know what you are calling the last cell not empty. If this is a new workshhet that has not been touched by human hands there will be no confusion. If a user has been able to enter data, then there will ahve to be a validity check. Cells may appear to empty, but an invisible entry can exist.
