As long as the system had enough memory on it! This isn't a big deal, but Microsoft's base spec for Win2K is a 200MHz Pentium MMX or better, with 64MB of RAM. At my own office, that means roughly half of our systems would need to add memory (our minimum system in production use now is a 200MHz MMX system with 32MB, running Win98, in-house), and if you're dealing with people with older systems with 100MHz Pentiums and 16MB of RAM, you'd probably want to at least upgrade the motherboard in addition to switching to a faster processor and adding memory. Upgrading systems that are now below the base entry level box (the typical entry level system today is an AMD K6 family or Intel Celeron processor at or above the 300MHz mark with 64MB of memory, so a new system should be at least minimally capable of running WIn2K) doesn't make sense, since you can get a system exceeding the Win2K minimum spec for under $800, and often for under $500 with a bit of shopping.
