Thanks Jim and Mark.

Maybe there is another problem in customer data table..

there are some keys like "204DJ" which is some agent "204" but different final overseas customer....

so, the outcome for PADL(ALLTRIM(Cust_no),7) will be:

100
128
136
...
....
1000
128BJ
136KK

Now, I put simply: Val(Cust_No) will make 1000 at end of sort...

~_~ It seems the best way to fix this problem is to make a KeyTable file to carry the last adding key and sure fix when add record in forms...
but it still get problem is there are other method to add.. ~_~

although it still NOT a good method to do.. but hard to maintain if user has REAL WORLD problem and need to modify the Primary key to fulfill their problem..

~_~ to maintain system with unreasonable real world user.. is very hard.. >-<'
