Thanks Evan. The video problem went away when we rebooted the machine in safe mode. This does trouble me but I think I can understand it. On the other hand, there is a more serious problem. I placed a grid on the form, set its visible to .f. and made it small so I could continue to work with other components on the page. When focus comes to a certain field, I resize the grid and make it visible. This works fine on almost all machines. On the Dell 400 it generates a FoxPro error that an invalid value is being set for a property. If I resize the grid on the form background so it shows at least 1 row this problem goes away. Question: How can something be a Foxpro error on 1 machine and run perfectly on another? This seems to open up a black hole. I would like someone to tell me what is going on and how I can protect myself from arbitrary errors of this type.
A problem is a problem only as long as it has a possible solution. Lacking that, it becomes a FACT!
