I have just tested it again. And it works so sorry i can't help. But you could test it the same way as i have......

browse the table and in the command window set seconds on | off, you can then watch the seconds appear and dissapear.
the rest of my settings are:
set date = american
set mark = /
set hours = 24
set century = on
