>>I understand, there are apps like in my agency here, also. What usually happens is there gets to be sort of an informal list of problems and enhancements that the 2.x apps are stuck at, and when the list grows large enough (or there get to be big enough runtime problems), a conversion will be done...

Of course, what else would I want to use? < s >

Sampling is great, all-in-all, though I'm struggling to get the new downsized UDB frame data converted for our use. The UDB people have attempted to build a sophisticated query system using applets on the Intranet, and it's a truly awful GUI design. Besides, that, it crashes, is very confusing, slow, you name the problem, it's got it :)

The Collection System is almost done with Beta, and is working, sort of...Chip is printing all the reports in CI sort of manually, and that part is good, at least. The work you did helped him a lot in getting started...

The one huge problem with Collection (as you know PB/Sybase) is that when it has more than 4-5 users on it, it slows to a crawl, and has everyone complaining. I don't know much about it, and why that would occur, but they're very concerned. And that's with only about 3000 records! Wait until they get a lot more...Sampling has had 20 or more simultaneous users with much larger tables, and no problems...

So, that's the news - how's it going with your job - still the same place?
