Put a DOEVENTS in your loop. This will allow VFP to respond to user interface events.
>I have a client that I am developing a application for that will track production based on bar codes being scanned into a scanner on a production line. I have figured out how to activate and deactivate the scanner using command buttons on a form. However, I need to be able to click a button to start the scanning process and continue scanning until I click a stop scanning button. I can create the loops necessary to do this, however, once the loop is started, I can no longer click on any buttons on the form until I press escape and kill the loop very ungracefully. Can somebody point me in the right direction?
