Yes you should be able to convert your project to VFP6 with little fuss unless you were doing some really strange stuff. Make a backup first though.

Yes. VFP6 does not have this problem.

But... before doing a conversion, consider doing a rewrite. Doing a straight conversion will give you a slower bulkier version of the same app without taking advantage of anything VFP6 has to offer. When a conversion of to VFP is done, to maintain compatibility the converter puts all kinds of pageframes and pages into your app. These will cause a headache if you want to go in an alter and of the user interface components like reports. Also you learning curve for VFP will be much longer since you will be using VFP in the old FP way.

Much better to rewrite the application. Any non-ui stuff can be ported straight over if necessary.

I was burned this way. It took me almost 2 years to finally get rid of the last shreds to old Foxpro dos code out of my app.
