Thanks for the reply. I can install dBase IV as an OBDC driver as you did and this will show up in the data source type list for MS Word97. The problem is that I am passing a dbf that uses memo fields [fpt attached]. The dBase IV driver will not open the memo fields. I am still puzzled as too why Foxpro or Visual FoxPro data type no longer appears in the Word list. I have reinstalled and uninstalled both Word & ODBC data access packs with no luck.
