Thanks, Erik - I found the answer to my questin in the KB. The solution is to re-set the recordsource in the refresh:

THIS.RecordSource=THIS.RecordSource

Your suggestion is a good one, but I like to put the code into the object as much as possible - hopefully good OO techniques....

>I don't know the answer to your question, because I never use RecordSource = SQL. I find it much more easy to manage setting the recordsource to a cursor created by an SQL statement. If you put the code that does this in a method, you can rerun the query whenever you want.
