Your question is a little bit vague. Can you give more information on the system you want to build, how many users and what information you are seeking help?

IMHO, Access is good up to 5 users and 50K records max. Pass one of these marks, it start to slow to a crawl. If you need to support more than 5 simultaneous users and/or more than 50K records, you will need a SQL backend, like SQL Server or Oracle.

Also, you should look at Visual FoxPro instead of VB/Access. You get a fast database engine, a simplier setup and a OOP programming tool.
