>I found it very difficult to try to make the same OLE code work with Office 95 & 97. What I did instead was to create a word processor class, which I sub class for each word processor and version. I put all the code that is related to the word processor in this class. So right now I have classes for Word 95, Word 97, and WordPerfect 8.0. When the program starts, it just creates a global object using the appropriate word processor class depending on what the user has installed. This way, everytime a time a new version of Word or Wordperfect comes out, I don't need to try to make all the old code work for the new word processor, I just make a new sub class and recreate methods that need to be changed to work with the new word processor.
