It'w actually trivial:

lcInstallDir = FULLPATH(SYS(16,0))
lcInstallDir = LEFT(lcInstallDir, RAT('\',lcInstallDir)-1)

You can use ither Bela Bodec's .FLL, or the code I posted in the FAQ for using the Shell.Application automation object to build an enhanced GETDIR().
