-I've been following this and have nothing new to offer but one suggestion...

my hotkey menu is defined as a single popup with 48 items. As each item has its hotkey assignment there is no need for cascading. Furthermore - it works a treat! (with one or two initial little quirks due to conflicts with other keystrokes caused by windows hotkey button behaviour but I seem to have resolved most of those this morning.)

>good luck with this (and I must admit that I didn't really 'get' why it was that JimB's suggestion to >>use the Form's KeyPress event wouldn't do the job you need).

I may yet go that way but the menu route seems a lot less work at first glance. 20 of the items are common to more than one module so I've avoided a considerable amount of duplication. The module specific ones are easily coped with using 'skip' conditions, so in exactly 96 lines of code, most of which can be cut, pasted and amended in a few seconds, I've created all my substitute OKLs in about 20 minutes.

Or am I missing something and you are trying to tell me that the form keypress method would give me superior or more stable performance?

Regards

Harry
