What I think is happening is that there are some residual files/registry entries left over after the uninstall. Uninstall again. Delete the following folders:
\WWWROOT
\Program Files\Microsoft FrontPage
\Program Files\IIS Core
\Program Files\MTS

Then, run RegClean to fix the registry.
