well fortunately that won't be necessary for this particular bug - it turned out to be them pesky macros! The 'default.fky' macros take precedence, it seems, over the menu shortcuts when you run the exe, whereas the shortcuts take precedence in development mode. I'm sure someone can waffle for hours on how thats perfectly reasonable behaviour but I don't care, I've fixed it for now and I won't get caught by that one again!
