Thanks for your help. One of the Foxpro books I have explicitly states that the "Send SQL updates" feature of the view designer only worked with remote views. I had tried the "Send SQL updates" and the TABLEUPDATE command seperately, but never in conjunction with each other. So, things are working fine now... :-)
