I am writing a script to upgrade from one version of a program to another. I have one table in which the structure changes dramatically. I create a temp table with the correct database structure. Within the script, I rename the temp table to the actual table name. If I try and browse or modify the table, I see a message which requires me to locate the table. If I locate the table, I am then told 'fields do not match the table in the database'.

Any suggestions?
